Backend Engineering Intern

Moved from the Managed Services department into Cloud & Automation to build the backend for a new Technical Assistance Center (TAC) system — a full database and API layer to simulate and automate TAC workflows, with a lightweight frontend built on top by the team.

What I built

  • — Architected a production-ready backend to simulate and automate TAC workflows for Managed Services.
  • — Engineered a PostgreSQL database deployed via Docker with strict 3NF normalization, real-time audit logging, and data tamper-protection triggers.
  • — Built a secure REST API with FastAPI and Python, using strict Pydantic validation and explicit HTTP status routing for clean frontend integration.
  • — Containerized the full backend with Docker Compose for isolated, reproducible deployments.

Managed and routed enterprise telecom infrastructure across the Managed Services division as part of the GJU Dual Studies program, a three-year track combining academic study with recurring industry work terms. Provisioned lines, configured routing logic, and administered users on Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) for Shared, FTTH, and SMP DID pools, and extended the same workflows across Telefinity PBX deployments to keep enterprise voice infrastructure consistent and operational.

Technical build

Engineered a fully automated Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) chatbot using n8n, integrated with Meta APIs (Instagram/Messenger) to handle client inquiries. Built the backend with Supabase (database/vector storage) and used Google Cloud for dynamic routing to human agents.
